Releasing a WolfPrint Job
This documentation provides step-by-step instructions for releasing a WolfPrint print job.
After you have submitted your print job, follow these instructions to release it at a printer. You must release a print job within 12 hours after you submit it; otherwise, it will automatically be removed from the system.
Releasing a WolfPrint Job
- Go to your chosen printer
- It will have a WolfPrint FollowMe sticker with the following information.
- Print queue name (e.g., WolfPrint-BlackAndWhite)
- Printer name (e.g., dhl-1320-1)
- QR Code for Touch-Free print release
Choose your Release Method
1. Traditional Print Release from the printer's touch screen.
- Log in by either of the following methods:
- Swipe the red stripe of your Wolfpack One Card in the printer’s card reader
- Enter your Unity ID and password on the printer’s screen.
- Follow the printer’s instructions
- On the screen, select Release Jobs.
- From the displayed list of jobs, you can choose one of these options:
- Release and print all jobs
- Press the arrow to the right of the print job to print it or cancel it.
- Select the account to charge for printing.
- If you have access to a shared account, select the account from the list shown.
- If you see the message "No results found. Please try another search term", tap "Use Personal Account"
- When finished, log out on the printer’s home screen.
2. Touch-Free Print Release scanning a QR code label on the printer.
- To release your print job by scanning the QR code, your wireless device must be on the NC State network.
- On-campus users use Eduroam or NCSU WiFi (login with Unity ID, not guest)
- Scan the QR code with your phone's built-in camera.
- The QR code will take you to a page on papercut.oit.ncsu.edu
- Select the jobs to print or cancel
- Select the account to charge: a shared account or your Personal Account
