Releasing a WolfPrint Job
This documentation provides step-by-step instructions for confirming and releasing your print job at a WolfPrint physical printer.
- After a print job is sent to a WolfPrint virtual printer, it must be printed within 12 hours, or it will be automatically removed from the system.
Find a WolfPrint physical printer
To locate a physical WolfPrint printer that supports the virtual queue you used, visit go.ncsu.edu/printers
- If you sent a print job to the WolfPrint-BlackandWhite virtual queue, find a Black and White OR Color printer.
- Print jobs are charged based on the queue they are sent to, not on the printer where they are released.
- The color printers will accept print jobs from either virtual printer queue.

- If you sent a print job to the WolfPrint-Color virtual queue, find a Color printer.
Confirm and release your print job
- Go to your chosen printer.
- The printer should have 3 WolfPrint stickers with the following information:
- Printer ID label (ex., P7245).
- FollowMe label that shows which virtual queues can be released at the printer (ex., black and white or color).
- QR Code label that also has the physical printer name on it (ex., dhl-1320-1).

Choose your Print Release Method
- Swipe the red stripe of your Wolfpack One Card or NCSU ID card in the card reader attached.
- OR Enter your Unity ID and password on the printer’s control panel.
- Follow the printer’s on-screen instructions
- Tap on Print Release.
- Choose to release all jobs.
- OR tap the arrow to the right and select jobs to print or cancel.

- Important! Select the account to charge for printing.
- If you have access to a Shared Account, select the account from the list shown.
- If you see the message "No results found. Please try another search term", tap "Use Personal Account".
- When finished, log out on the printer’s home screen.

Scan the QR Code for Touch-Free Print Release
- To release your print job by scanning the QR code, your phone must be on the NC State network.
- On-campus users use Eduroam or NCSU WiFi (login with Unity ID, not guest)
- Scan the QR code with your phone's built-in camera.
- The QR code will take you to a URL on papercut.oit.ncsu.edu for the printer you are using.
- Choose to release all jobs.
- OR tap the arrow to the right and select jobs to print or cancel.
- Important! Select the account to charge for printing.
- If you have access to a Shared Account, select the account from the list shown.
- If you see the message "No results found. Please try another search term", tap "Use Personal Account".
- When finished, log out on the printer’s home screen.
- The QR code will take you to a URL on papercut.oit.ncsu.edu for the printer you are using.
