Card Reader
This documentation provides basic troubleshooting for when a user is unable to log into a WolfPrint pritner using the card reader attached. The intended audience is an end user.
Information
Each WolfPrint printer has a card reader attached to the top of, or on the side of it. The card reader can be used as a convenient way to login to Papercut by swiping the NCSU ID card.
If you swipe your card and the reader does not respond, or if it beeps and the LED is yellow, and will not log you in, you may have your ID card inserted incorrectly OR the card reader may have lost its connection to the printer.
First, make sure the card reader is connected to the device and that the USB cable is not loose.
Then, locate the red vendor icon on the card reader and make sure the red magnetic stripe on your is inserted into the reader.
If the reader is still not functioning properly, you may log in to the control panel manually using the touch-screen feature, with your Unity ID and password.
Please submit a WolfPrint Report a Problem form and a technician will be dispatched for service.
