Gradescope is a tool that can improve efficiency and consistency in grading, and can be especially useful in larger classes. Students or faculty can upload handwritten or typed assignments and exams. Faculty can then grade submissions, question by question, without seeing student names attached to particular responses. Graded work can then be electronically returned to students.
Gradescope is integrated with Moodle using an LTI integration. This enables students to connect to Gradescope through a Moodle course without signing in a second time, and with no need to create a separate account. The LTI integration also allows for grades to be returned automatically to Moodle.
