You may need to activate or reactivate the Duo Mobile app on your phone if you:

Access the Duo Device Management Page

You will need to log into the Duo Device Management site to manage your devices. If you do not have an alternative method to sign in with Duo, you will need to call the NC State Help Desk at 919-515-4357 (HELP) or visit the Walk-in Center for a Duo bypass code.

  1. Visit the Duo Device Management page. We recommend that you visit this page on a computer if possible so you can use your phone to scan a QR code.
  2. Sign in with your Unity ID and password.
  3. Use an alternative Duo method to complete your login.

Activate or Reactivate Duo Mobile

After you have logged into the Duo Device Management page, you should see a list of your enrolled devices.

  1. Find your enrolled mobile device.
  2. Select I have a new phone.
    • If you have a new phone number, close the pop-up window and start by selecting Add a device instead.
  3. Select Get Started.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to download the Duo Mobile and finish enrolling your device.
    • If you are on a computer, you can scan the QR code to finish activation.
    • If you are on the device that you are trying to enroll and you already have Duo Mobile installed, you can select Open Duo Mobile.
    • You can select Get an activation link instead to have the activation link emailed to you. You must be able to open the email on the device that you are trying to enroll.

Get Help

If you need further assistance, you can contact the NC State Help Desk by submitting a request in the IT Service Portal or calling 919-515-4357 (HELP). You can also visit the OIT Walk-in Center.
