If you have an Android with operating system version 10 or higher, you might notice that the process to enroll or re-enroll your device with eduroam has been altered.
Enrolling in Eduroam on Android
IMPORTANT: Do not delete the SecureW2 JoinNow app after you are connected to the network.
- Open the Google Chrome app on your phone (not the Google search bar).
- Visit go.ncsu.edu/eduroam2
- Towards the middle of the page, select Download
- The Google Play Store will open. Install the SecureW2 JoinNow application
- Open Google Chrome again; ensure you are still on the same webpage.
- Tap Join Now at the bottom of the page
- The SecureW2 app will open. Select Yes, App will configure and connect
- Allow location permissions
- Tap Next
- Sign-in with your Unity ID and password
- Read the information on the screen, then select Next at the bottom of your screen.
- When prompted, tap Allow, then Next.
- If you pressed "No, thanks" by accident, you will need to delete the SecureW2 app and start again at Step 1.
You should now be connected to the network and may close the app.
If You Still Cannot Connect
Manually Connect to Eduroam
- Navigate to your Wi-Fi Settings
- Tap on eduroam
Try removing the setup network:
- Navigate to your Wi-Fi settings
- Press & hold the name of the network you were connected to before enrolling in eduroam
- Tap Forget
- Chose eduroam from the list
