Information
Each WolfPrint printer has a card reader attached to the top or the side of it. The card reader can be used as a convenient way to log in to Papercut at the device by swiping your NCSU ID card. Locate the red vendor icon on the card reader and insert your card with the red magnetic stripe facing downward.
Troubleshooting
If the reader does not respond, or if it beeps and the LED is yellow, your ID card might be inserted incorrectly, or the card reader may have lost its connection to the printer.
- First, verify the card reader is connected to the device and that the USB cable is not loose.
- Please submit a WolfPrint Problem form to report this issue.
Work Around
If the reader does not respond after resetting the cable and rebooting the printer, you can work around this authentication method by loging in manually by entering your Unity credentials at the control panel, or by scanning the QR code on the device and using WolfPrint's "touch-free" print release option.
