Courses have a maximum number of students that can enroll. If a class is at its capacity (i.e. full), students may add themselves to the waitlist if a waitlist is available for that class. A waitlist is a list that students can join to wait for a seat to open in the selected course. If a registered student drops or removes the class from their schedule, the next person on the waitlist will automatically be enrolled in the course. You can view your waitlist position under the “My Schedule” tab in MyPack Portal. Visit the Student Services website: “How to Add a Class?” for more information. Please note that being on a waitlist does not guarantee a spot in the course, therefore you may want to have a backup course or utilize the swap to waitlist tool.
The “Swap to Waitlist” tool allows students to swap a course they are already enrolled in for a course with a waitlist. When you make the swap, you will remain enrolled in the course you're trying to swap until a seat becomes available in the waitlisted course. If a seat becomes available in the waitlisted course, you will be enrolled from the waitlist. Watch the “Swapping To Waitlisted Courses” video tutorial to learn more.
