The online benefits enrollment process has changed this year.  There are now two benefit enrollment platforms, depending on which benefit you are trying to enroll in.  For more details and information about benefits and enrollment visit the Online Benefits Orientation site.

eBenefits (BenefitsFocus) Enrollment Instructions

You will need to log into this platform to enroll/make changes to your elections for

Enroll Via MyPack Portal

  1. Go to MyPack Portal and login.
  2. Under the Employee Self Service tile click on the “Benefit Details” tile.
  3. Click on “My State Employee Benefits” (make sure your pop-up blocker is off).
  4. Once you have logged into the site, select “Get Started” on the home page and follow the prompts.
  5. After you have made your choices scroll down to the bottom and click “Save Changes”.

Be sure to save/print a copy of your Confirmation Statement to review and save for your records before logging out.

UNC System (Empyrean) Enrollment Instructions

You will need to log into this separate platform to enroll in/make changes to your elections for

Enroll Via MyPack Portal

  1. Go to MyPack Portal and login.
  2. Under the Employee Self Service tile click on the “Benefit Details” tile.
  3. Click on “My UNC Benefits” (make sure your pop-up blocker is off).
  4. Once you have logged into the site, you will see a pending event (i.e., open enrollment). Click “Continue” and follow the prompts.
  5. After you have made your enrollment choices scroll down and click “Submit My Elections.”
  6. click “Accept” on the popup or your choices will not be recorded.

Be sure to save/print a copy of your Confirmation Statement to review and save for your records before logging out.
