If you have the Duo Mobile app installed and activated on your phone, you can generate a passcode if you are having issues receiving a Duo Push or SMS text message from Duo.
This works anywhere, even in places where you don't have an internet connection or can't get cell service.
Generate Passcode
- At the Duo prompt, click Duo Mobile passcode.
- First select Other options if it is trying to send you a push notification by default.
- Open the Duo Mobile app on your smart-phone and tap the NC State University account in your list.
- Enter this code under where it says Passcode and then click Verify.
Note: For anyone that is enrolled in Duo and needs to log in at the Delta Testing Center, you can generate your two codes with the Duo Mobile app outside of the testing center and write them down on a piece of paper to take inside with you. The codes need to be used in the order you wrote them down.
Unable to Generate a Passcode
- If you are unable to generate codes from the Duo Mobile app or if the codes you generated are not working, then you can generate bypass codes for Duo at go.ncsu.edu/2fabypass.
