If you are receiving an unexpected Duo push from OIT Wolftech Azure AD, it is likely an Office product on your computer that now requires Duo multi-factor authentication when that authentication policy was enabled for all Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 related services.

Before you blindly accept the push notification from Duo, you should verify the IP address in Duo Mobile matches the IP address of the computer you have an Office product installed on.

  1. Open the Duo Mobile app and tap to respond to the push notification.
  2. Note the listed IP address in the Login Request window.

  3. Now visit whatismyip.com from the device you have an Office product (Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, One Drive) installed on.

  4. If the addresses match, you can safely approve the Duo push notification.

Should the addresses not match between Duo Mobile and any other device you have an Office product installed on, then you should deny the request, report it as fraudulent, and consider changing your Unity password.
