Check this list to make sure your scheduled classroom is video conference capable.

Follow these steps when initiating a Zoom video conference from a Classtech classroom.

1. Sign in to the classroom PC using your Unity ID. *You can only use your laptop for screen sharing purposes within the meeting. The system microphones and camera will not integrate with your laptops so be sure to mute your laptop!*

2. Open Zoom software, installed and available on all ClassTech PCs.

          a. It can be found at the START menu at the bottom left PC window.

3. Sign into Zoom using SSO, or enter your meeting code if you have pre scheduled your meeting.

          a. Visit the Delta Learntech Knowledge Base on Zoom for more details on standard use.

4. Select, “connect using computer audio,” and make sure the microphone is working and not muted.

          a. Click here if you need help finding the microphone.

5. Make sure the camera source selected is either, “AV Bridge,” or, “Room Camera.”

          a. Sometimes the camera defaults to the Wolfvision Document Camera, unless you intend to use this device in Zoom, change the source in Zoom while the PC remains selected on the touch panel.

          b. Click here if you want to share content from a document camera into Zoom.

6. Once this is complete, your classroom will be a functional conference room from which you can communicate with students joining remotely.

7. To change the camera’s preset angle, select the “Room Control” button on the right side of the touch panel.

          a. The left preset is a close up of the teaching area.

          b. The middle preset is aimed to capture the chalk or dry erase board.

          c. The right preset is aimed as a wide view, capturing the full front of the classroom.

If the camera presets do not work for your needs, contact classtech@ncsu.edu or 919-515-4357 to have them adjusted
