If you need to share content from the document camera to participants in a Zoom session, there are two easy methods.
Using Screen Share
This method allows users to see both the room camera feed and the document camera content simultaneously.
NOTE: Make sure the touch panel input source remains on Desktop PC anytime you are using Zoom from a classroom computer.
- Once you’ve started your Zoom stream, make sure the video source is set as "room camera" in the bottom left corner of Zoom.
- Power on the Document Camera and select the green “Share Screen” icon at the bottom of your Zoom window.
- Next, you’ll be presented with a window to select which screen to share.
- On this screen, select the “Advanced” tab to display more possible sources.
- Once you reach the Advanced screen shown above, select “Content from 2nd Camera” option on the far right of the screen. **Note: this will only work if the Document Camera has been powered on
- After selecting the camera source you want (in this case the Document Camera), click “Share.”
- This displays the Document Camera on the Lectern Computer Monitor. The viewers on your stream will also see both the Document Camera and the Room Camera when this is enabled.
Switching the Camera source
Please Note: This will make it so that remote students will be viewing the document camera feed, the classroom camera will not be visible while the document camera is in use. You can only use one or the other, not both the Classrooms camera and Document camera.
- Click on the ^ icon next to "stop video" to change the camera source. (red circle on the photo)
- Select Wolfvision Video Capture ll (or UVC camera) to use the document camera as the video source.
- Make sure the document camera is powered on before attempting to use.
- You must have the PC as the selected source on the touch panel.
- Do not select the Document camera on the touch panel; this will take you away from your Zoom meeting.
- Switch the video source back to Room Camera if you want to display the Classroom view to remote students.
