This document is intended to guide end users through the process of using Windows Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to remotely control another Windows device when the user has the proper access to that device. 

Information

When using computers remotely, it is necessary to VPN to campus in order to access certain campus resources. The Cisco VPN is a software package that allows a secure, authenticated connection to the University network in order to gain access to campus resources. Once a VPN connection is made, the computer is able to communicate with campus Domain Controllers for authentication, Remote Desktop (RDP) to other computers, and access campus provided network shares.
