Before going through the steps listed below, make sure to save all of your work and to have a backup of all your important files in the event of issues.

This update will require you to restart your machine. Once the upgrade starts, do NOT interrupt it under any circumstances.

By manually installing Windows 11 on your computer, you control when this upgrade is done, so you can allow it plenty of time to complete.

If these upgrades are not done manually, the upgrade will be forced, and you will not have the option to schedule it at a convenient time.

Please follow the steps listed below.

Steps for Upgrading to Windows 11 - 23H2 Version Manually

Step 1: Open your computer’s Software Center:

Step 2: Once Software Center is open, click on the “Updates” tab, where you will see the 23H2 Version Update option as shown below.

Step 3: Click on the “Windows 11, version 23H2 x64 2024-11B” option and click “Install”.

Step 4: To install the new windows version, select “Install”.

Step 5: The upgrade should start installing, and once it is done, you will get a notification from Software Center saying “Restart required”, as shown below:

Step 6: Click on the notification to be taken back to Software Center, where you will see the following screen:

Step 7: Select “Restart”. Make sure you have all of your work saved to avoid losing any data. Once you are good to go, select “Restart” once again

Step 8: Your computer will then shut down and restart. Once the computer is restarted, and you have logged back into it, check the current Windows Version of your computer by looking up “winver” in your taskbar to see if the 23H2 update has been installed

Step 9: The following window will pop up. It should say Windows 11 version 23H2 after going through the steps listed above.
