Using Mobility Print from Android

This document provides instructions for setting up Mobility Print on Android devices.  The intended audience is an end user.  

 

Information

To add the WolfPrint printers for Mobility Print during setup, your device must be on the NC State network.  On-campus users, connect to Eduroam or the NCSU wireless network.  Off-campus users, connect using NC State's VPN Service.

Install Mobility Print

1.  Install the Mobility Print Android App using this link: https://print.ncsu.edu:9164/known-hosts/android

  • Tap to open the Mobility Print App

  • Tap to Allow Mobility Print to send you notifications
  • Tap to make sure the Mobility Print Service is on
  • Under the Print Services
    • Toggle Mobility Print Service "ON" 
    • Toggle Default Print Service "ON"

 

Print your file(s)

2.  Send your job to a WolfPrint printer.

  • Tap the three dots menu in the upper right > Share > Print
  • Choose the desired WolfPrint Printer
    • WolfPrint-BlackandWhite
    • WolfPrint-Color
    • WolfPrint-BlackandWhite-11x17
    • WolfPrint-Color-11x17
  • Tap on the yellow printer icon to send your job to the print servers.

 

Authenticate with PaperCut

3. Open the PaperCut notification that your job requires authentication.

  • Enter your Unity ID and Password to proceed with printing.  

 

Confirm your print job

4. After your print job is submitted, you must confirm it within 10 minutes, or it will automatically be removed from the system.

  • Open the PaperCut Web Client at https://go.ncsu.edu/wolfprint
  • Log in with your Unity ID and password.
  • After a few seconds, you should get a Print Job Notification pop-up. 
  • Select the PaperCut account to charge and then click Print.
  • Another pop-up message should appear, indicating the file is ready to print on a FollowMe printer. 

 

Release your print job 

5. After your print job is confirmed, you must release it within 12 hours, or it will automatically be removed from the system.

  • Your print job will be held in a virtual queue for up to 12 hours.
  • Find a WolfPrint Printer to release your print job.

Any questions on process or content contained in this document should be escalated through the NCSU Help Desk and have an incident assigned to the OIT_WOLFPRINT support team.
