Courses have a maximum number of students that can enroll. The Enrollment Capacity is the maximum number of students allowed to register for that section. The Wait List Capacity is the number of spots allowed for a student waitlist once the enrollment cap has been met and the class is full. Once a registered student drops/removes the class from their schedule, the student in the #1 position on the waitlist will automatically be placed in the class by SIS.  Visit the Enrollment Wizard section on the Student Services Center website to learn more about enrolling in courses.

Please note that being on a waitlist does not guarantee a spot in the course, therefore you may want to have a backup course or utilize the "Swap to Waitlist" tool.  Swapping gives you the option to change your schedule without having to drop and add classes. When you swap for a waitlisted class, you keep your seat in your enrolled class until a seat becomes available. When a seat becomes available, you will be enrolled from the waitlist.  Watch the Swapping To Waitlisted Courses video tutorial to learn more.
