How to Install Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise as self-service through Software Center

Overview:  

Any individuals who are students, faculty, or staff and have an active Microsoft 365 account are eligible to install Microsoft 365. This suite of Office Applications comprises localized applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, OneDrive Sync, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, and Access. The Microsoft 365 office suite also includes online versions of supplementary applications like PowerBi, Power Automate, Sharepoint, and other productivity applications.

The installation process is expected to take approximately 30 minutes, although it may sometimes extend to an hour.

 

Instructions:

IMPORTANT: Please let the process complete. Do NOT restart or power off your machine after the update has started.

 

To install the Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise Client via the Software Center, please follow these steps:

 

Before you proceed with the installation, ensure you have closed any Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., as this may cause installation problems with any existing applications open.

To access the Software Center, you can use the search bar and search for "Software Center."

Alternatively, you can locate the Software Center in the Start Menu within the "Microsoft System Center" folder.

 

 

After opening the Software Center, you can find the "Applications" tab and navigate to it.

 

Under the Applications tab, double-click "Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise."

Click "Install.

"

Once the "Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise" installation process is complete, you should see the word "Installed" displayed under 

the installation status in the Software Center.
