Only being able to install part of the Cisco AnyConnect package usually means that your Mac thinks it still has Cisco AnyConnect installed. This can happen if you trash the items in the Cisco folder instead of using the Uninstall AnyConnect program.

If you have administrator rights on your Mac, you can run the uninstall command in Terminal.

Open the "Terminal" app on your Mac and run this command.

sudo /opt/cisco/vpn/bin/vpn_uninstall.sh

If that command succeeds in removing Cisco AnyConnect, then start the installer again.  If that command doesn't work because it can't find that uninstall program, then run this command in Terminal and try to install Cisco AnyConnect again.

sudo pkgutil --forget com.cisco.pkg.anyconnect.vpn

If needed, you can re-download the VPN client at go.ncsu.edu/vpn-client.
