NoMAD (No More Active Directory) is a menu bar utility that keeps your OIT provisioned macOS device in sync with your NCSU Unity Account. In addition to the elimination of keychain prompts and other authentication frustrations, NoMAD also adds shortcuts and other convenient features for units supported by the OIT Managed Desktop Services Team

How To Change Your Password

1. Click Change your password - This will take you to the NC State's Password Change Form. complete password change process by following the instructions given there.

Note: Ignore "Password does not expire". The information reported here is not representative for when a password is required to be changed.

2. Once you have successfully changed your password, you will receive a notification in the upper right corner of your primary screen from NoMAD stating the following:

Note: NoMAD compares the last known password set date against the password set date in the user’s AD record. This happens automatically every 15 minutes, on every network change, or whenever the user clicks on the NoMAD menu.

 

3. Click “Sign In”. Sign in with your new unity password. After you sign in, you can dismiss the notification.

Note: The "Password Changed" notification may not dismiss automatically.

 

4. You will receive one last message from NoMAD to Sync your account

5. Enter your previous Unity password, aka the local password of your macOS computer.

DONE! - Your passwords are now in sync.
