If your account is enrolled in Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and you plan on accessing your account while travelling abroad, using the Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile app and/or a U2F security key is strongly recommended, rather than using SMS messages for passcodes. You can use the Google Authenticator and Duo Mobile apps on a smartphone or tablet. For Google 2-Step, you can also generate backup codes for one-time use. Below are instructions on how to set up alternative 2FA methods.

If you cannot call, contact the Help Desk by emailing help@ncsu.edu to see if there are arrangements that can be made to assist you. The NC State Help Desk is open 8am - 5pm Monday-Friday, and is closed on official university holidays.
