Sending notifications from OnCall
To allow notification of users in the OnCall system
(the equivalent of “Quick Page” at pager.ncsu.edu)
- Login to OnCall
- Select the telephone icon at the top of the page
- In the Search field, type the Unity ID or first name of user
- Select Unity user ID from search results
- Select team of user (team name at top of user list)
Note : team link is very dim but is clickable - Select “Escalate”
- Click “Escalation Plan or SMS” pop up menu
- Select user to be notified from the menu
Note : User links appear dim but are clickable - Type message into Description box
(“For sending an ad-hoc SMS” just above the Description box) - Click “Escalate” to send message
