Customer Center: Reassign a Service to a New User

This article explains Reassigning an active phone line or any other active Service from one user to another. If you also need to Move the Service, you can do this at the same time. 

Note: Historically, in terms of phone service, this has been referred to as ‘resetting the voicemail.’ In fact, it is reassigning the phone number and resetting the voicemail to a new user. 

  1. From the Home page of Customer Center, in the Department Services/Equipment section, search for the service you wish to reassign. For example, if you are looking for a phone number, use the last 5 digits only.
  2. Click the 3 blue lines to the left of the Service and select Move/Reassign Service.
  3. Select Create New Request, or you can add it to any Saved Requests you have in your cart. 
  4. When you have finished adding items and/or actions to your request, proceed to checkout by clicking the Shopping Cart icon at the top right of the screen and navigating your Saved Request
