Searching/Updating CIs (Configuration Items) in CMDB
Access CIs for your support group

Dashboard will present a bar graph showing the count for each CI type, organized by Class
Selecting the bar will display all CI's of that type.
Search within a field
Use the Search box at the top of the screen and use an asterisk (*) wildcard *FTP

Selecting a CI field for update
Note : Fields can only be updated by users that are members of
(Support Group, Assignment group, Owned by, Managed by)
Double click the area around an underlined value to change.
An edit box will appear in place of the field content
Click the checkmark to save the change, the X to not change the value
Create/select new value
Enter the new value. Note that predefined choices for the field will appear for selection as you type the name. This field can be changed to a new value or a value can be chosen from the popup.

Select a different value
For some fields, only predetermined values are available. If a new value is necessary, talk to your administrator.
When this type of field is selected, choices can only be picked from a list. Note the down arrow "v" at the end of the field
When selected, a list of options will appear. Choose an item from the list.
