NC State maintains multiple Moodle sites that reside on separate servers. There is a separate Moodle server for differing academic years, and there are also non-academic Moodle servers dedicated to WolfWare Projects and Outreach.

This article provides delineation between different available Moodle servers offered by DELTA.

Available Moodle Servers

Students and instructors can access ALL of their Moodle courses through WolfWare regardless of the server the course resides in.

The different servers available are maintained according to DELTA's WolfWare retention policy. According to the SOP: "A Moodle course will remain editable for 1 year after the end of the Academic Year in which it was offered." Courses will be accessible but not editable after one year from when they were delivered.

If students need to continue to access a course due to an incomplete, follow the instructions in the "Granting a Student Extended Access to a Moodle Course" article to give them access.

The current servers available are as follows:

The past servers available are as follows:

Users who have bookmarked the previous year’s server should update those bookmarks. To link directly to a Moodle course, or to set up a direct browser bookmark, be sure to use the correct Moodle server for the current academic year.

Additionally, if accessing a course one year after the course was completed, a VPN connection will be required to access the appropriate Moodle server. Follow the instructions in OIT's "Virtual Private Networking (VPN) Service" article to use NC State's VPN service.
