WolfPrint Shared Account

This document explains the features of a WolfPrint Shared Account, which is used to provide departmental funding for printing.  The intended audience is an academic or departmental administrator.

Information

Administrative and Academic departments can provide funds to cover the cost of printing for students, faculty, or staff, by setting up a WolfPrint Shared account.  Student organizations are not supported because WolfPrint cannot accept cash, check, or credit card payments.  Only Interdepartmental transfers (IDT) can be used to fund Shared Accounts.  To request a new shared account or make changes to an existing account, submit a Departmental Funding for WolfPrint Request.

Charging Options

  1. Shared Account = Provides a pool of printing funds for a specified group of users.
  2. Funds for Student Accounts = Provides a specific amount of money to individual accounts.
  3. This form can also be used to make changes to an existing shared account; to add funds or change users.

After the request has been submitted, a confirmation will be sent via email from Service Now.  WolfPrint and WolfCopy will perform the tasks needed to set up the shared account and bill the specified department.  Once the account has been created and the funds have been transferred, you will receive an updated notification and the request will be closed.

For testing the shared account or to provide instructions for users on how to charge against the shared account, see the Print Instructions for using a shared Account for details.

Escalation

Any questions on process or content contained in this document should be escalated through the NCSU Help Desk and have an incident assigned to the OIT_WOLFPRINT support team.
