Direct Add Someone to a Google Group  KB0016592

If you're a group manager, or if you have permission to manage members, you can direct add people to your group.  Direct add is adding someone to your group without their approval.

  1. Sign in to Google Groups.
  2. Click My Groups.
  3. Click the name of a group you manage.
  4. On the left, click Members.
  5. At the top, click Add members.
  6. Enter the email addresses of the people to add in either the Member or Manager fields.
    • Adding any member not in the same organization as ncsu.edu requires a welcome message.
    • You may only add 10 members before completing CAPTCHA verification or 200 members after CAPTCHA verification per session when any of the members are not in the same organization as ncsu.edu.
    • The maximum number of internal and external members that can be direct added at one time using web interface is 250 per session.

  7. Set how members will get email from the group using the Subscription setting.
  8. Click Add members.
