Enable Google Calendar Sync with Cisco Jabber


This guide explains how to enable Google Calendar Sync in Cisco Jabber (version 14.3x or later for Windows and macOS).

Calendar sync allows Cisco Jabber to integrate with your NC State Google Calendar. 

Launch Cisco Jabber

Cisco Jabber is configured to sync with Google Calendar by default. 

When you open the latest version of Cisco Jabber: 

Sign In to Google

If prompted: 

  1. Select your NC State Google account.
  2. Complete login using Shibboleth authentication. 

If you are already signed in to your NC State Google account, you may be prompted to confirm it again.

Grant Permissions

When prompted with:

Prompt stating "Cisco Jabber wants additional access to your Google Account" with a Continue button to approve permissions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enter the One-Time Code

A browser window will display a one-time verification code.

Even if the message references the Webex App, you should see a Cisco Jabber window where you can enter the 4-digit code.

Note: The Jabber window may appear behind the main Cisco Jabber application window. 

Enter the 4-digit code in the Jabber prompt to complete verifications.

If the code expires:

"Code has expired" message in the browser window after the one-time verification code times out.

 

 

 

 

 

Confirm Calendar Sync

To verify synchronization:

  1. Open Cisco Jabber.
  2. Locate the Calendar icon on the left-hand side.
  3. Click the icon.

If your calendar events appear, Google Calendar sync is successfully enabled.
