Extension Mobility User Guide


Note: The Extension Mobility (EM) feature must be enabled on your account before use. For activation details, see the Overview of Phone Services and Features article.

 

Set Your Phone Services PIN

Before using Extension Mobility, set your Phone Services PIN:

  1. Log in to the myphone Self Care Portal with your Unity ID and password.
  2. Select General Settings > Phone Services PIN.
  3. Set: 
    • New PIN
    • Confirm PIN 

Tip for Finesse/Call Center customers: Use your agent extension as your PIN for easier recall. 

6900 Series IP Phones

Log In

  1. Press the Applications button (gear icon). 
  2. Arrow down to Extension Mobility, then press Select.
    • If the option is not available, it has not been enabled for this desk phone.
  3. Enter your Unity ID in the UserID field.
  4. Use the navigation buttons to locate the PIN field.
    • You may need to press the down arrow to display the PIN option. 
  5. Enter your Phone Services PIN.
  6. Press Submit.

Log Out

  1. Press the Applications button (gear icon). 
  2. Arrow down to Extension Mobility, then press Select.
  3. Choose Logout.
  4. Confirm to log out.

7800 Series IP Phones

Log In

  1. Press the Applications button (gear icon). 
  2. Select Extension Mobility.
    • If the option is not available, it has not been enabled for this desk phone.
  3. Enter your Unity ID in the UserID field.
  4. Enter your Phone Services PIN.
  5. Press Submit.
  6. When "Login Successful" appears, press Exit.

Log Out

  1. Press the Applications button (gear icon). 
  2. Select Extension Mobility.
  3. Select Logout.
  4. Press Yes to confirm. 
  5. When "Logout Successful" appears, press Exit.

7900 Series IP Phones

Log In

  1. Press the Services button. 
  2. Arrow down to Extension Mobility, then press Select.
    • If the option is not available, it has not been enabled for this desk phone.
  3. Enter your Unity ID in the UserID field.
  4. Enter your Phone Services PIN.
  5. Press Submit.

Log Out

  1. Press the Services button. 
  2. Select Extension Mobility.
  3. Choose Logout.
  4. Confirm to log out.

8800 Series IP Phones

Log In

  1. Press the Applications button (gear icon). 
  2. Select Extension Mobility.
    • If the option is not available, it has not been enabled for this desk phone.
  3. Enter your Unity ID in the UserID field.
  4. Enter your Phone Services PIN.
  5. Press Submit.
  6. When "Login Successful" appears, press Exit.
  7. Press Exit again to return to the main screen.

Log Out

  1. Press the Applications button (gear icon). 
  2. Select Extension Mobility.
  3. Select Logout.
  4. Press Yes to confirm. 
  5. When "Logout Successful" appears, press Exit.
  6. Press Exit again to return to the main screen.
