Manage Your Voicemail via Web Inbox


With the Web Inbox tool, you can listen to voicemail messages and send new ones from your computer.

Note: This article covers managing voicemail messages in the Web Inbox. For voicemail settings, see the Messaging Assistant for Voicemail article.

Listening to a Message

  1. Log in to Web Inbox using your Unity ID and password.

  2. In the upper-left corner, select the message folder (Inbox, Deleted, or Sent). 
  3. In the lower-right corner, choose how you want to listen: Phone or Computer.
    • If you chose Phone:
      • Enter the phone number where you want to receive the call.
      • Highlight and double-click the message.
      • When your phone rings, answer to hear the message.
    • If you choose the Computer:
      • Highlight and double-click the message.
      • The message will play through your computer speakers.
      • Adjust the volume using the slider bar at the bottom-left of the window.

While the message is playing:

Message Handling

  1. Highlight a message you want to manage.
  2. Select one of the following options:
    • Reply
    • Reply All
    • Forward
    • Mark Unread
    • Delete

Note: Deleted messages are permanently removed and cannot be recovered from the Deleted folder.

Composing a New Message

  1. At the lower-right corner of the window, click Phone.
  2. Enter the phone number where you want the system to call you.
  3. Click New Message in the upper-right corner.
  4. In the To: field, type the recipient's name and select the full name from the list.

  5. (Optional) Click Add Cc or Add Bcc to include additional recipients.
  6. Enter a Subject.
  7. Select any desired options: Urgent, Private, and Read Receipt.
  8. Click Record, then click Start Recording.
  9. When your phone rings, answer and record your message.
  10. Click Stop Recording, then click Send.

Note: Web Inbox cannot replay your recorded message. If you are not satisfied, click Cancel and start again.
