Special circumstances sometimes require students to drop all of their courses for a specified term, and this constitutes an official withdrawal from the university. It is important to note that a withdrawal may impact a student’s academic eligibility, financial aid, and progress towards a degree. 

The policy and process to prepare your withdrawal request will differ depending on the time at which you plan to withdraw from classes (e.g., prior to the start of term, prior to the drop/revision deadline, or after the drop/revision date).
