An online and distance education on-site course is a course that meets face-to-face at a location that is separate from the main NC State campus. NC State offers site-based instruction to members of specific online and distance education programs and other organizations or groups. These courses typically require attendance at exact dates and times, which fosters classroom discussions with colleagues and co-workers. Communication outside the classroom is encouraged in the form of email, threaded discussions or group projects.
