ComTech Telepresence Device Support Guidelines


ComTech manages and supports an enterprise-class communications system that integrates voice, video, data, and mobility products.

To maintain system reliability and compatibility, devices connected to the university's enterprise communications system must be specified and provided by ComTech.

ComTech welcomes early engagement in communications projects to help ensure compatibility with university systems and avoid unnecessary integration costs.

Overview

Cisco telepresence devices integrate with NC State's enterprise communications system, enabling participants to meet across multiple locations. 

Cisco telepresence devices may be purchased through ComTech. We support specific Cisco models and work closely with stakeholders to provide the best solution for each space. 

Stakeholders who purchase these devices will incur yearly support, setup, and integration charges for each telepresence device connected to the enterprise communications system. 

Some devices may also require a port activation charge due to network connectivity requirements.
