NC State has been designated as a Gemini Reference School and a member of the AI Accelerator Program for Higher Education. With these distinctions, all NC State students, faculty, and staff earn free access to a variety of training materials, training opportunities, and more. This knowledge article will be used to share those available features.
Through December, 2030, all NC State students, faculty, and staff can join the NC State Learning Program to receive free access to over 400 courses and 47 professional certificate courses including courses on Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, AI, Project Management, and more. Upon course completion, users can earn their Google professional certificate in that course for free.
To access the Coursera library, visit the NC State Learning Program and use your NC State email address. This will provide access to the full 400 course/47 professional certificate library.
Google provides this opportunity through the AI Accelerator. If you attempt to join, but receive an error message, please make sure you use your NC State email address. Also, while NC State receives an unlimited number of seats, Coursera updates the licenses daily, so if you receive an error stating no licenses remain, please try again in 24 hours.
Google periodically will visit campus to provide student and faculty/staff training opportunities. These usually occur annually in the fall. Check OIT News for future opportunities.
