How to secure a quote for a Mac computer from Marketplace Apple portal.  For anyone who needs to provide quotes to staff or customers.

 

 

 

Information

 

 

To provide a quote for a customer on a Mac computer:

1. In MarketPlace, click on the Apple "Contract Supplier" icon on the main page for Computer/Software/Peripherals.
2. From the dropdown menu at the top of the screen, place your cursor over the the device category you wish to purchase. Select the device you want.
3. On the left hand side of the screen you'll see filter categories, such as color, screen size, and storage space.  Select these to filter out machines that don't fit your criteria.
4. From the remaining machines, find the one that most closely matches your criteria, and select "Configure."
5. The next screen will allow you to choose other options, such as memory size, processor, and storage, if they are available.  After you've made your choices, click the "Add to Cart" button.
6. The next screen offers options for 3 or 4 year AppleCare+ For Schools.  We recommend 4 years. Check the box for your choice, and click the "Update" button at the top of the screen.
7. Confirm that the configuration information is correct, and then click "Send Proposal." The "Create eProcurement Document" window allows you to make comments, such as "MacBookPro for Indiana Jones."  Then click "Submit."
8. The title "Summary for eProcurement Document #12345678910" contains the Proposal Number.  Provide the customer (or your purchasing people) the Proposal Number.  They can pull up the Proposal and complete the purchase themselves.
9. If you are completing the purchase yourself, clicking "Continue" from this screen takes you into the MarketPlace "Checkout - Review and Submit" page familiar to purchasers.
