How do I report a phishing email?

Phishing is a form of scam where attackers deceive people into revealing sensitive information, often by posing as a trusted or regarded figure (e.g., a company, a professor, or a colleague).

How do I report Phishing?

To report a phishing email, please use the "report phishing" feature built into Gmail.

  1. Open the message you'd like to report.
  2. At the top-right corner of the message, click the three vertical dots next to the "Reply" button.
  3. Select Report Phishing.

This notifies our security staff about these messages, helps Google recognize these messages to protect users from spam and abuse, and filters them out of your inbox.
