Meet is a Google integrated videoconferencing app. Meet is available via a web browser or stand alone apps for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS.

Meet is a Core Google Workspace app and covered under the Core Terms of the Google Workspace Education Agreement.

Using Meet

Supported platforms:

• • Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari web browsers
  • Android, iOS, Chrome devices

Start a video meeting by:

• • Visiting meet.google.com
  • Click “Add Google Meet video conferencing” field in a Google Calendar event
  • Selecting Meet icon from the left sidebar in Gmail

Join a video meeting from:

• • meet.google.com
  • Google Calendar event
  • Gmail message
  • Google Chat
  • Meeting invitation
  • Meeting link URL
  • Other places (see Join a Video Meeting).

Data Security

In Meet, users should avoid discussing (and recording) the following topics:

• Personnel topics
• Red or Purple data. See Data Management Framework.
• Conversations that need to be archived or retained for longer than 18 months.
