Eligible graduated students are those who graduated with a degree from NC State on or after May 5, 2010 (when NC State selected Google as a service) and are requesting it within six months following their graduation date.

• Alumni accounts requested outside of the six-month timeframe are not allowed.
• Students completing certificate programs at NC State are not eligible for the alumni email service.

Eligible graduates will be notified via email to their NC State student Google account (@ncsu.edu) and will be offered an email-only 2GB alumni Gmail account (@alumni.ncsu.edu). Alumni accounts do not provide any services outside of Gmail, such as Calendar, Meet, and Chat.

Graduated students retain access to their NC State student Google account (@ncsu.edu) for six months following their graduation date, after which time the NC State account will be disabled and files deleted. OIT sends communication to your student Google account during those six months.

• Expect regular communications to your NC State Google account reminding you of your six-month timeframe.
• OIT recommends that you check this account during these 6 months until you have fully transitioned away from using it
