This document is intended to provide insights to anyone needing software approval through the Clickwrap process.
Information
- When downloading software from a webpage, you may encounter a page that has an step that requires a user to click “I agree” or “I accept” before the software can be downloaded or installed. This agreement is a clickwrap.
What should I do if I encounter a Clickwrap Agreement?
- Before downloading or installing any software that has a clickwrap agreement on any university machine, users should first verify that the clickwrap has been reviewed. Software that has been purchased through the NCSU Purchasing Department is already approved and needs no further review.
How can I tell if my software has been Clickwrap approved?
- Faculty, Staff and Students may visit the Software Licensing page and search to see if their software has been reviewed here: Reviewed Clickwraps
I do not see my software in the reviewed list, what do I do?
- You may submit a Review Form to our Software Licensing Department and include the details of the software after signing in with your Unity ID credentials here: Clickwrap Review Form
