Google Shared Drives are available for users in our NC State domain and can only be created by full-time employees. A Shared Drive can be used for projects, committees, departments, or other purposes.
Before you create a Shared Drive
Please consider the following:
- 15 GB of storage quota per shared drive.
- A Shared Drive and all associated files are owned by the domain (NC State) rather than an individual.
- A Shared Drive must have at least one Manager. Multiple Managers are recommended, and there is no limit to how many Managers can be assigned to the Shared Drive.
- All the Shared Drive members can access folders and documents stored in a Shared Drive.
- Content in a shared drive is stored in Vault for e-discovery and retention.
- For further considerations and Shared Drive best practices visit go.ncsu.edu/shareddrives.
