Your Unity account and NCSU Google account will be scheduled for deactivation shortly after the closest
census date if you are not enrolled in classes and do not have one of the following statuses:
Once disabled, OIT DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY EXTENDED ACCESS TO YOUR GOOGLE WORKSPACE OR UNITY ACCOUNT. Make sure that any files or documents you would like to keep are moved off university file spaces before your account is disabled.
If you have previously taken classes at the university, you will still have limited access to
MyPack Portal. If you are having issues logging in, then you should
reset your password. If you return to NC State and enroll in classes, your account will be automatically reactivated, but it may not have your old data.
Stop Account Deactivation
You can prevent account deactivation if any of the following situations apply to you. Otherwise, your account will be deactivated.
- Readmission — If you want to enroll in a future term, you must apply for readmission.
- Study Abroad — If you are outside the U.S. and participating in an activity for academic credit, such as study abroad, an internship abroad, or research abroad, contact the Study Abroad Office to update your status for the current term.
- Co-op Program — If you are participating in the co-op program, contact the Co-op Program to update your status for the current term.
- Sponsored Research — If you are an unenrolled undergraduate student engaged in research for the current term, have your sponsoring faculty member send an email including your name, Unity ID, and research involvement to studentservices@ncsu.edu to have your account reactivated.
- Graduate Student Leave of Absence — If you are a graduate student on an official Leave of Absence, contact the Graduate School and be sure to review the relevant requirements to make sure that you maintain access. Suspended and/or terminated graduate students are not eligible to maintain their Unity accounts.
