Cisco Jabber for Mac is a collaboration application that provides presence, instant messaging (IM), voice, voice messaging, and video calling capabilities on a Mac.

Note: To use this service, you must have it enabled. Please refer to the Cisco Jabber page to learn how.

Installation

1. Download the Cisco Jabber Installer - download.comtech.ncsu.edu/jabber/public/Mac/Jabber/CiscoJabberSetup-NCSU.zip file.
   
   
2. Double-click the CiscoJabberMac file to open it and start the installation.
   
   
3. Click Continue on the Welcome screen.
   
   
4. Click Continue at the License Agreement window, and then Agree.
   
   
5. If you are prompted to choose the disk to install Jabber on, select your hard drive, then click Continue.
   
   
6. If prompted, enter your Administrator account password for the Mac and click Install Software.
   
   
7. Click Close when the software has finished installing.
   
   

Setup

1. After installing Cisco Jabber, launch the application by opening your Applications folder and choosing the Cisco Jabber.app icon.
   
   
2. Click Agree at the End User License Agreement window.
   
   
3. On the Cisco Jabber Sign-In screen, enter your Unity ID followed by @ncsu.edu,  then click Continue.
   
   
4. Enter your Unity password and click Sign In.
   
   Note: Place a check in the Automatic sign-in checkbox if you want Cisco Jabber to log in when you launch Cisco Jabber automatically.
   
   
5. Cisco Jabber is now ready to use on your computer.
