Any email forwarding set up for your @ncsu.edu Gmail account will only work while the account is still active. After you lose access to the account, any mail sent to your @ncsu.edu Gmail will not be forwarded. All forwards, filters, and auto-replies that were set up for your @ncsu.edu Gmail will be automatically disabled when the account is deactivated. If someone sends an email to your deactivated @ncsu.edu email address, the message will not be delivered. The sender will receive a bounce message saying that the address is inactive.

Please note that email auto-forwarding to personal email accounts in general is not permitted due to university regulations.
