When trying to login and edit on your WordPress site, the following error may occur, usually on a blank white page:
With the page text saying something similar to the following:
Access Denied
Signature ID: 123456789012
Message ID: 12345678
Client IP: aa.bb.cc.dd
This is likely being caused by the FortiADC Web Application Firewall (WAF) interpreting your IP as being a source of suspicious activity. Any blocks like this are automatically removed after 24 hours.
To bypass this 403 error, you will need to connect to the NC State VPN.
It is highly recommended to use the NC State VPN if editing any WordPress-hosted websites while you are off campus.
