AFTC Printing on WolfCopy Devices

This document provides locations, installation steps, and usage instructions for printing to the WolfCopy Konica Minolta Printers in Avent Ferry Technology Center.

Information

 

There are two WolfCopy Konica Minolta printers located in AFTC: one black and white, and one color.  Both network printers are added to the OIT groups with permission in Active Directory. All OIT users will have access to these printers:

\\OITEAS-AFH-205-KonicaMinoltaBH360i  for the black and white printer located on the north side of AFTC. 

\\OITCOM-AFH-218-KonicaMinoltaC360i   for the color printer located on the south side of AFTC.

 

Printer Locations

1. The black and white printer (model Bizhub 360i) is located on the north side of AFTC, near Huddle Room 205 (between the OIT and EAS suites).

2. The color printer (model Bizhub C360i) is located on the south side of AFTC in an open area near room 218 (in the comtech suite).

 

Mapping the network printers

Windows

If you need to add the printers manually, follow these steps to map a network printer on a Windows 11 computer.  You will need the printer hostname and print server information. 

 

1. In the Windows Search box on the taskbar, type Add a printer and Hit Enter. 

 

2. Click Add Device in the top right corner of "Printers & scanners" in the Settings menu.

 

3. Scroll down until you see "The printer that I want isn't listed" and select Add a new device manually.

 

4. Choose the radio button to Select a Shared Printer by name and click Next.

5. When the installation is complete, and you receive a message that it has been successfully added, click Next.

6. To verify the printer is working properly, print a test page.

7.  Click Finish when complete.

 

MacOS 

To add the printers manually, first use the "Self Service" tool to elevate your account privileges for admin rights.

Then, follow these steps to map a network printer on macOS.

1. Click on the Apple Icon on the left of the menu bar at the top of your screen. 

 

2. Select System Settings, then scroll down and choose Printers & Scanners from the side menu.

 

3. Click the Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax... button on the right.

 

4. Choose the IP  option at the top of the Add Printer dialog box.

 

5. In the Address field, enter the full printer name as follows:

OITEAS-AFH-205-KonicaMinoltaBH360i.oitclients.ncsu.edu

OITCOM-AFH-218-KonicaMinoltaC360i.oitclients.ncsu.edu

 

6. Tab through the Queue field, the Name, and the Location fields should auto-populate.

 

7. If "USE" does not auto-populate with the correct print driver, choose "select software", pick the correct model, and click Add.

 

8. Leave the defaults that are set, and Click Ok
