NC State's Office of Professional Development (OPD) offers non-degree professional training courses in various subjects. Unlike the courses offered by OPD, the courses which are required for NC State academic degrees, including the online and distance education courses, are credit courses that can be transferred for academic credit to other institutions of higher learning.
