Instructors may wish for students to give presentations with materials during a Zoom meeting. Staff may need to give a presentation to colleagues during weekly staff meetings, or faculty may need to present at a professional organization webinar. A webinar host may want panelists to share media as part of their presentation.
All of these scenarios are covered by screen sharing, which allows a user to transmit content from their device to the Zoom meeting or webinar.
This article will go over how to enable screen sharing for participants and panelists in Zoom.
The instructions for webinars and meetings are generally the same for enabling screen sharing.
To enable screen sharing during a Zoom meeting:

The instructions for advanced settings differs in how it displays to the host of the Zoom meeting.
To enable advanced sharing options—including allowing or limiting multiple participant sharing, and simultaneous sharing—during a Zoom meeting, follow these instructions:

Changing the above setting only affects the currently active Zoom session. Ending or joining another meeting would revert the Screen Sharing options back to their default settings.
To make this change permanent for future meetings:
