Customer Center: Reassign a Service to a New User


This article explains how to reassign an active phone line or service from one user to another. If you also need to move the service, you can do this simultaneously. 

Note: Historically, this has been referred to as ‘resetting the voicemail’ regarding phone service. It involves reassigning the phone number and resetting the voicemail to a new user. 

  1. From the Customer Center home page, in the Department Services/Equipment section, search for the service you wish to reassign. For example, if you are looking for a phone number, use only the last five digits.

  2. Click the three blue lines to the left of the Service and select Miscellaneous Change.

  3. Select Create New Request, or add it to any Saved Requests in your cart. 

  4. After adding items and/or actions to your request, check out by clicking the Shopping Cart icon at the top right of the screen and navigating to your Saved Request
