Cisco Jabber for Mac is a collaborative application that provides:

• Presence
• Instant messaging (IM)
• Voice messaging
• Voice and video calling

Note: This service must be enabled before use. Visit the ComTech Self-Service Portal to request access. For additional details, see the Cisco Jabber documentation. 

Installation

1. Download the Cisco Jabber installer (official ComTech download location).
   
   
2. Double-click the downloaded .dmg file.
   
   
3. Click Continue on the Welcome screen. 
4. Review the license agreement and click Agree. 
   
   
5. Select your hard drive when prompted. 
   
   
6. Enter your Mac administrator password if required. 
   
   
7. Click Install Software.
   
   
8. Click Close when installation completes. 

Setup

1. Open Cisco Jabber from your Applications folder.
   
   
2. Review and accept the End User License Agreement.
   
   
3. On the Cisco Jabber Sign-In screen, enter your Unity ID followed by:
   • @ncsu.edu
   • or @comtech.ncsu.edu
     
     
4. Click Continue.
   
   
5. Enter your Unity password.
   
   
6. Click Sign In.

Optional: Select Automatic Sign-in to have Jabber launch automatically at login. 

Cisco Jabber is now ready for use.
