Users must be manually added to Get2Factor (G2F) to use Authenticator codes to sign into a generic account.
Change User Settings in Get2Factor
- Go to the Get2Factor site.
- Select Account Owner Tools > Manage Accounts.
- Log in with your Unity ID and password (if you are not already logged in).
- Select the account you want to view the Get2Factor code for from the My Accounts in Get2Factor list.
- Update the account’s information as needed.
- Account Owner — Can change access controls, update the secret key, group accounts for easier management, and deactivate the G2F Authenticator account.
- Additional Account Owners — Same rights as the primary Account Owner. Adding at least one additional owner is highly recommended.
- Authorized Users — Users granted permission to view G2F Authenticator codes for this specific account.
- Account Group — Adds a pre-existing group of users to access the G2F Authenticator codes for this account
- Select Save Changes.
The easiest method to search for users is to add an equal sign ( = ) before the Unity ID to search for that exact Unity ID.
